The ATLAS project
Green hydrogen production in Greece
We have been working on the best possible production of green hydrogen since 2019, have built up a large global network for this purpose and our concept is now based on the best and most sustainable production solution currently available.
GREEN HYDROGEN IS PRODUCED EXCLUSIVELY FROM RENEWABLE ENERGY
The following graphic shows the path of green hydrogen, from production, the possibilities of transport, and up to the respective use.

From the very beginning, we have been working intensively on the production of "real" green hydrogen.
Why are we emphasizing the area of ``real´´ green hydrogen?.......
The answer is, that we are increasingly realizing that the vast majority of projects that are in the planning stage will not produce ``real´´ green hydrogen, be it because CO2 is still being produced or the water required for electrolysis is from the (enormously important!) freshwater resources. This, is definitely neither clean nor sustainable!
Our finished concept is to produce green hydrogen within the EU (starting in Greece and later expanding) and sell it in the free market. Depending on the technical/chemical possibilities available by 2027, the green hydrogen may be transformed into another product which is better and safer to transport.
Currently we have the best technical production solution from Germany, it is an electrolysis PEM process and we will use the required water directly from the sea. Thanks to this concept and the time window up to production, no more CO2 is generated either during the manufacture of the production plant or during the operation of the respective plant. This, is clean and sustainable production and serves both sense and purpose!
The ATLAS project is based on renewable energy projects (two GW from PV or wind energy). According to current knowledge, we will build four hydrogen production plants at different locations on the coast or on islands in Greece. Each of them is served with 500 MW of renewable electricity.
Production start of the first hydrogen plant will be towards the end of 2030. With current technical possibilities, annual productions (for all plants) of 270,000,000 million kilos of green hydrogen and 53,000,000 million kilos of pure oxygen are achieved. Furthermore, other products that arise in production can also be sold, such as sea salt or magnesium, etc.
The following are some key points of our ATLAS project and his six-year plan:
• We will obtain the required green energy for the respective green hydrogen production plant either from our own PV or wind energy systems, and/or we will secure the required energy via PPAs, the current and timely market of renewable energy in Greece offers both possibilities.
• We will exclusively source and process the water required for electrolysis directly from the Mediterranean Sea. Thus, the already scarce and very important freshwater resources are protected!
Importantly, all of our projects are strategic investments for Greece under the Renewable Energy Law and will therefore be included in the significant and important Fast Track process. This minimizes both the project risk and the approval phase considerably!
What we are looking for:
Financing of the projects and/or strategic partners for financing.
And because we want to keep improving our concept, also technical solutions and innovations for the production of green hydrogen directly from seawater, as well as innovative transport solutions for the end products.
Please note: We are learning more and more about the acceleration of climate change. Should these acceleration scenarios occur, there must also be a faster change from fossil energy to green hydrogen in this context.
Since we are very flexible with our concept, we can bring the practical implementation of the production of green hydrogen forward by years, so that we can also enable the faster change of energy source!
